We are proud to role out the new volunteer opportunity of Adoptions Ambassador.
For now this is a strictly cat opportunity.
There are 3 training shifts and 2 shadowing shifts required to be completed within 30 days.
By starting the training you are committing to doing a minimum of one shift a week, more is welcomed.
Training shifts are offered Wednesday through Saturday.
You must complete training before you can do actual shifts.
Training is provided on a one-to-one basis with a member of the adoptions team.
Job Description
As an adoption ambassador, you will provide support to the adoption teams by helping to facilitate adoptions. What this means is that you help adopters find the right furry companion and vice versa, you help find the pet the right family. This opportunity is available Tuesday – Sunday. We have morning shifts and afternoon shifts available that will allow the adoption team to provide an excellent experience for both the adopters and the pets. If you love working with people, enjoy matchmaking, and you enjoy providing the best experience, then this is the role for you!
Roles and responsibilities:
- Facilitating Adoptions
- Building relationships with adopters and answering adoption/pet-related questions.
- Helping adopters find the right pet (Matching making)
- Utilizing ShelterLuv to look up information such as – adopter questionnaire, pet medical information, and obtaining resources.
- Assist individuals with basic questions about our programs or shelter in general.
What we are looking for:
- Knowledge of Lost Our Home Pet Rescue.
- Paw Trained along with prior Animal handling experience and basic knowledge of animal behavior, and Fear Free Trained.
- Excellent customer service that includes providing clear directions and answering questions.
- A weekly commitment.
- 18 years and older.
