Shadow a shelter leader while touring the shelter and learn cleaning procedures for daily tasks (Shelter Care)
These tasks are vital to the shelter and so much help to the Lost Our Home staff and pets
At Shadow Shift, we will tour the facility, go over proper Shelter Care (laundry, dishes, kennel deep cleaning) procedures, answer any questions, and discuss other volunteering opportunities. The whole goal is for volunteers to leave confident and ready!
*Things may get messy! Please dress accordingly and within volunteer dress code. We have lockers on site for valuables
Notes:
- Please register for only ONE Shadow Shift. Please speak with Volunteer Coordinator Chris Walker if you feel any follow-up training/support may be needed
- After completing this Shadow Shift, you are eligible for independent Shelter Care shifts
- Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled start time
- You'll Sign in at the Volunteer Kiosk (behind the front desk) and create a nametag prior to shift
- **Reminder that any minors 8-15 must be accompanied by a parent at all times. Each need their own volunteer profile & sign up.
