Please complete at least one Donation Logging Training shift first HERE These shifts are so valuable to our shelter's Food Bank program, which last year delivered 128,000+ meals to pet families in need, 100% from donations. Shifts may include: food/supply transportinventory tracking and rotation for freshnessdonation logging, dating, and organizingstocking donated foods and supplieshelping prep resale items or open foods for partner pickuppicking up community donations from partnersIf you have great attention to detail, and don't mind working on your feet, this may well the job for you! Please understand food bank needs are dependent on donations and needs may, at times, vary. We ask that you help with Shelter Care if there is not enough to do in the Food Bank. Note: Must have completed at least Green Paw Dog Training to register for a shift Sign up for Green / Yellow Paw Dog Training to get ready HERE This shift is meant to help our dogs decompress while here at the shelter and give them quality time away from kennels. Can include: Play in the yards and in the play room - fetch, tug of war, etc.Dog Walking (when below 90 degrees) Agility training with our hurdles, play hoops, obstacle course, etc.Treadmill training (ask Volunteer Coordinator or ACT if interested!)Snuggles and petsReading, Petting, Brushing, etc...Kindly remember to check water and clean up any "messes" in their kennel. Upon Arrival, please do: Check in at the Volunteer Kiosk (behind the front desk) & gather your name badgeFind an ACT (Animal Care Technician) for guidance and update marker boards with any enrichment provided or if yarding/walking any dogObserve "Puppy Protocol" (see signs around kennels) if interacting at all with puppies - we need to keep the little ones safe!Questions?
